The Spring issue of Knitty has been published!

perhaps not so much I really, really want to knit, but I liked

- Torreyana (lace shawl)
- anthemion (lace wrap)
- and the three socks patterns.

I'm still knitting on Oblique and October Frost.

I have started a new project in an unofficial KAL with some friends. It's all about cables and I chose October Frost from the wonderful, but apparently slightly unknown book A Fine Fleece by Lisa Lloyd.

Shown here is the first repeat of the middle chart with two repeats of the side charts. It is a surprisingly easy and quick knit despite all the cabling. I'm using Vamsegarn from Rauma.

 

I have also started on the first sleeve for Oblique.

I finished the right front of Oblique yesterday. It really is a quick knit, once I have the time to sit down with it.

Here are all the body pieces laid out together in all their unblocked glory. At first I thought the cardigan looked huge, but then I pinned the pieces together and tried it on. It's a comfortably loose fit. I am so eager to finish it!

oblique revisited

Looking through my archive I couldn't even find an entry for the Oblique cardigan. Still I know I started knitting this in 2008 shortly before I had a baby.

Then it began its hibernation...

Until now! I dug it out and decided to finish it. And to be honest, I don't know why I stopped. It's such a quick and easy knit. This left front was half finished when I found it and it took me two evenings to complete. The back is already done. I've just cast on for the right front.
