Me, Maria and Erika had an evening of none fiber related handicraft yesterday. Well, almost. At the end Erika picked up her knitting and I cut some fabric. But we started out experimenting with beads and metal threads. Maria made a little crochet round with a bead and I shamelessly stole the idea. I will either make a choker or some hair ornament out of it, tied with a ribbon in the back because I didn't have enough beads to make it longer.

And in some other news, I have been converted to the right faith. Flaxen is good to knit with. Especially if you decide on a lacy design! This is Day Flower from Barbara Walker's book A Second Treasury if Knitting Patterns.

So, I was at the Street market in Stockholm. There was a jewellery theme last weekend and I had a stand with a friend of mine, Numida smykker from Norway. My website with jewellery is here, in case you missed the link to the right. And yes, we sold some of our work as well as bought from others. Here is my find from Vilma Velasquez, a wonderful oxidised silver necklace with a nut as pendant.

I forgot to tell you about the shop d n'a that is selling my jewellery. It's in Göteborg on Korsvägengatan 2 and this is what it looks like from the outside. It's in a backyard where there is a café and another shop. I liked the atmosphere very much and the shop owners Therese and Lhina have chosen some very interesting designers to exhibit.

Here is a ceramic breast in raku. There were lots of them in various versions, but now I've forgotten the name of the designer. Fun stuff! I also bought a tiny bag by Maria Jönhede, who likes to print text on her designs; mugs, plates, place holders. This one says things like "happy sweet good brave", but there was also one that said "angry ugly mad insane" (in Swedish).

Once again, if you are in the neighbourhood, this is well worth visiting. (Not just because I have things there!)
