This is the Ten Stitch Blanket by Frankie Brown. It's the third project I'm starting with this Noro Silk Garden Lite. The other two were a baby cardigan and the February Lady's Sweater, none of which really worked with the yarn.
I'm hoping this is the one and so far it does look very good. I'll keep you posted.
In the summertime it's nice to knit with cotton. Here is my latest project, a baby cardigan in a combination of hand-dyed cottons from local Swedish producers.
I also noticed that Knitty has published their latest issue (some time ago?).
I really liked Annette, the lace short-sleeved cardigan, and Cold Mountain, the lace shawl. I like the new snowflake system, which marks out projects suitable to start knitting as gifts for the holiday season. But oh, I already have a few of those lying around... Maybe I should finish them first?
I got myself an overlock/serger! It's a Janone 644D. Not the most expensive thing on the market, but hopefully it will do the trick. I'm hoping to try it next week, as there isn't really time this weekend.
I got some nice extras as well: scissors and thread. A great starting kit!
And on a related note, I just have to say that I love this fabric from Henry Alexander called Traffic Jam.
